In Search Of Winter

Coming back from the Austral Summer, Riley and I have been looking for our missed winter experience in every opportunity we come across.

This past weekend was our most valiant, and might I add successful, effort. We went winter camping! Although there was much skepticism from our NOLS friends, who inquired why anyone would do that if they were not receiving a check at the end of it, we went out for two nights and had a blast.

This has been a tradition for Riley and his family friends, the Wellers', since the early 2000's when they invited him out the first time. We were lucky enough to add a few more to the group this year, including myself, my father, Riley's father (2nd time out), some college/Lander friends of Riley and Jordie's, Tatonka, and visits on Saturday from Diane and Dawna Hopeman. What fun!

Maiden Voyage

We journeyed back to Lander today.
On the way, we stopped by the grand to get some key photos on a blue bird teton day...like this one!



Afterwards, we continued toward Lander, but not without a couple hour detour...



Riley took me up Togwotee!



Luckily, my brother, Will, gave me the scoop on how to get the best ski photos. The key is in the hockey stop.



We have finally completed the homecoming. Great to see you Wyoming!
